After our HUGe trip earlier int eh year we didnt think we would get more fun in the sun overseas but I will say a big THANK YOU to Marc and Laura for getting married in Thailand… the ceremony was at the fantastic Rockys resort on koh samui and we took over the place with 30 of us lounging around the pool and drinking cocktails in coconuts at the bar….
After the wedding we went back to the beautiful Island of Koh Phangan to where Shane and I got engaged. we went back to our beautiful bungalow 17 and it was just as fantastic as before and this time we got to go with 8 great friends….. we swam in brilliant blue warm waters and drank Thai buckets (thanks to Marc and Laura) and ate fantastic Thai food (Lee did eat 2 of the smallest hotist looking chillies i have ever seen and when he regained his site and could swallow again he was boasting) ….
I was lucky enough to be able to go and take photographs at the abandoned asylum Aradale in Ararat with my redbubble Melbourne group…. Aradale has been closed since 1993 and was opened in 1860 so it has a long history… it was a cold 11degree day with misty rain and with it being up on a hill the wind wailed through the broken empty windows making us freeze, but adding to the creap factor of the place…. I went with my buddy Jenny . We both bought props not knowing what to expect and jenny bought a beautiful red kimono (actually the under kimono because they are so heavily layered) we saw a fantastic tree in the grounds jenny got all forest princess in the cold amongst the trees…..
japanese Forest Princess
There where 80 photographers and friends there on the day but with 600 rooms it was not so common to bump into anyone….
I was photographed 3 times on the day… once by Jenny with an idea I had that morfed into something else…
In January 2013, I returned to London after ten years away. In a strange twist of fate, I find myself returning to New Zealand one more time. What you see is all my own work. Please retain credits.
